Tripp is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He holds active medical staff admitting privileges at Warren Memorial Hospital. He has served as President of the Warren Memorial Medical Staff besides serving in other capacities on the medical staff. At the regional level, he has served on various committees of Valley Health System. Nationally, he was appointed and serves on a federal advisory committee, the Quality Measures Workgroup of the Policy Committee of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. He has testified in Washington, DC on behalf of physicians and, in particular, for small medical practices. He is the team physician for both Warren County High School and Skyline High School in Warren County, Virginia.
Dr. Bernard Pegis and he formed a company, Caduceus Digital Systems, LLC which creates web based solutions to help physicians and others collaborate on the electronic health record. Additionally, the company creates software to improve the efficiencies of the electronic health record and software for patient safety and engagement.
Tripp was born in Radford, Virginia and raised in North Miami, Florida and Falls Church, Virginia. He and his wife, Jan, have lived in Front Royal, Virginia since 1984. They have four children (and two son-in-laws and a daughter-in-law and seven grandchildren!). He enjoys swimming, cycling, digital photography, and gardening.
